DEEP UV & BANDPASS POLARISERS

Deep Ultraviolet Polariser
Meadowlark Optics is pleased to present its new Deep Ultraviolet
(UV) polariser. Manufactured for wavelengths between 245 and
285 nm, this polariser is ideal for applications requiring ultraviolet
light around 266 nm. Additionally, this polariser is transparent
in the visible range, allowing visible light to easily pass through
the polariser.
Deep UV Polarizers are manufactured out of dielectric nanowire
arrays as thin as 10 nm. By using a dielectric instead of a metal
as the basis of the wire grid, the non-metallic structures allow for
a high laser damage threshold and removes the concerns of the
wire grid oxidizing or causing contamination. Furthermore these
parts are manufactured on large substrates, allowing for easy customization
of sizes and shapes.
|
Key Benefits
- Works between 245 to 285 nm
- Wire grid polariser
- High Damage Threshold
- Transmission of greater than 50%
- Contrast Ratio of greater than 50:1

Bandpass Polariser
Meadowlark Optics is pleased to present its new bandpass polariser.
Manufactured by depositing the filter coating on fused silica,
this polariser works well in situations for when the user only
wants a small wavelength range to pass through with a specific
polarisation.
Bandpass polarisers are refl ective, refl ecting away the undesired
polarisation. This allows bandpass polarisers to be used in a
mount that makes them a beamsplitting polariser and increases
the recommended safe operating limit to levels required for use
with high powered laser. Bandpass polarizers have a high transmission
of over 95% and an excellent contrast ratio of over 1 million
to 1 with excellent out of band blocking of OD 6 and have
the required optical specifi cations for quality optical imaging.
|
Key Benefits
- Transmission of greater than 95%
- Contrast Ratio on the order of 1,000,000 to 1
- Blocks all light outside the wavelength range
